Legal advice

Extortionate rents, unapproved funding, non-admission to exams - the list of student legal problems is long and could go on and on. In order to be able to offer students help, the AStA organises a legal advice service to support students from Münster with legal problems. Two competent lawyers from Münster are available at the AStA to provide you with help and advice on all study-related legal problems.

How does the counselling work?
1. you send an email with your matriculation number to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. In the e-mail, please include your telephone number.

2. your mails will then be processed by the lawyers. They will call you back after processing. This can sometimes take a long time.

3. please note: this counselling is part of the legal advice service of the AStA of the University of Münster. The counselling is free of charge for you, you do not conclude a contract with the lawyers, i.e. you do not become their "client". You cannot expect that your email will always be answered promptly. Please consider this if you are in a hurry. Your e-mail will be deleted after the consultation. It goes without saying that legal advice is absolutely confidential.

Legal counselling includes advice on student matters, e.g. questions about BAföG or tenancy, maintenance and examination law.
